SUMMARY:Oddblock Comedy Festival
DESCRIPTION:Oddblock is Winnipeg’s new block party style\, four-day comedy festival set to celebrate its inaugural run August 27-30th 2015. \nThe festival will take place in multiple venues within a two block radius in Winnipeg’s South Osborne neighbourhod. Venues include The Park Theatre\, Luxalune Gastropub\, Deseo Bistro\, Monticchio\, and Vera Pizzeria. Each venue will host multiple comedy shows\, featuring international touring comedians\, national headliners and local comedians. \nOddblock aims to differentiate itself from other festivals by providing a localized\, high-density and intimate setting for experiencing comedy. With numerous shows in a multitude of locations located within one neighbourhood\, patrons are encouraged to bike\, bus\, or drive to the area and spend the whole day in one location\, attending multiple events. \nThe line-up will also help to set the festival apart from others. The comedic talent will lean more ‘alternative’ and will feature wide array of performers\, from international touring comedians to standout stand-ups from the local scene.
