A sculpture that appears to move in an impossible way

Prepare to have your eyes thoroughly messed with. At least, that’s what I felt when I watched these unique sculptures in motion from a company called Spunwheel.

“This kinetic sculpture is designed to produce an optical moirĂ© pattern that entertains with a simple spin of the hand. Although the sculpture is visually attractive when still, it becomes truly fascinating when in motion unfolding a variety of constant changing patterns. No battery, motor or other power source is used. The sculpture is handcrafted from Russian Baltic Birchwood, is 29 inches wide, and goes for approximately 40 minutes. There are four designs to choose from: Flux, Trance, and Kaleidoscope and Flow. Visit us at Spunwheel.com
