Ray St. Germain covers George Jones

An oldie, but a goodie. This is a pretty decent cover of the old George Jones classic, “The Corvette Song”, by Ray St. Germain.

“Ray St. Germain was born in 1940 in a small town just outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is a legendary country music performer who was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010. He is a proud Metis and family man. His five children are all musically inclined and some of them have appeared with him on the “Big Sky Country” television show from which most of these video clips were recorded back in the 80’s. His vocal skills are impressive and if you find his voice to be a little bit reminiscent of one Elvis Presley you shouldn’t be surprised since he was once known as Winnipeg’s Elvis.”

A little Can-Con country music history. I just can’t figure out why he is in a barber shop, especially when the barber doesn’t actually appear to be cutting a single hair on Ray’s head. But he is doing a good job of combing. Hope he got a tip for that.
