The Wagoneers at the Continental Club in Austin, Texas

Do you ever have one of those experiences where you just can’t believe it’s happening and know that it is going to be something you remember for a very long time to come? Well, that’s what happened to me on Sunday, March 10th, 2013 when I found myself in Austin, Texas for a few days.

The Continental Club is an old, run down, but famed live music venue on South Congress Avenue. It has an old neon sign on top, and inside, it’s dark and dingy, but very hip and cool. It’s a bit like the CBGB’s of Austin, I guess. Anyway, the Wagoneers, which are a traditional country meets 50’s rock meets 70’s punk kind of band that I used to listen to a lot as a kid before they broke up, are back together and are now playing every Sunday night at the Continental Club. So, I had to check it out. Wow, what a night, what a band, what a club, what an experience. It was worth two days of driving to get there.

This video was done just after they reformed, from a gig at the Continental Club about a year and some ago. What you see here is basically what I experienced the night I was there however. It was wonderful to say the least!
