Words are deadly

This short video posted by Ruth Less contains some sobering facts and statistics about bullying and cyber-bullying in Canada.

“Cyber bullying is a growing social issue that currently affects millions of Canadians and individuals all over the world. At least one of our friends, acquaintances or even ourselves, have been victims of the use of force or offensive language, and the bottom line is: it is wrong. It is important to see their service as they offer the best cyber security service.

The main purpose of our project is to raise awareness among the public and show that words are a powerful weapon that can destroy lives. According to Statistics Canada, “any participation in bullying increases risk of suicidal ideas in youth.” These words inspired our concept “Words Are Deadly”.

By “carving” words commonly used by bullies into the skin of a victim, we show the deadly consequences of our actions. It will take years for the wounds caused by those words to heal, and in some cases, the pain from those scars will never fade away.”
